Sub-process 3 - Credentials for Test

Purpose

The credentials for the test must be filled in so that DHL Shipping can accept and process the test requests.

How to fill in credentials

(1) Test Cis EKP is provided by DHL. Please register at the DHL API Developer Portal or turn to the DHL account manager to gain the CIS EKP.

• If an invalid Cis EKP is used, DHL Shipping will send back an error message that has a piece of misleading information (see screenshot). According to the error message, the billing number (that is the information in the field Test Cis User) is invalid. However, the real problem is the invalid Cis EKP. Therefore, the users must check their Cis EKP if they see this type of error message. Not the Test Cis User.
• This misleading error message comes from DHL Shipping.
  

Option 1: SOAP Credentials

(2) The system will use this email address if the customer email address in the sales order is not filled. This email address will be ignored if the email address in the sales order has been filled. (3) Test Cis Signature is provided by DHL. Please register at the DHL API Developer Portal or turn to the DHL account manager to gain the Cis Signature. (4) Test Cis User is provided by DHL. Please register at the DHL API Developer Portal or turn to the DHL account manager to gain the Cis User. (5) The Test URL SOAP is provided by DHL.

• Please ask the DHL Shipping account manager for the test URL.
• The test URL must be defined in the Shipping Label URL page in advance.

Option 2: REST Credentials

(6) API Username is provided by DHL. Please register at the DHL API Developer Portal or turn to the DHL account manager to gain the API Username. (7) API Password is provided by DHL. Please register at the DHL API Developer Portal or turn to the DHL account manager to gain the API Password. (8) API Key is provided by DHL. Please register at the DHL API Developer Portal or turn to the DHL account manager to gain the API Key. (9) The Test URL REST is provided by DHL.

• Please ask the DHL Shipping account manager for the test URL REST.
• The test URL must be defined in the Shipping Label URL page in advance.

(10) Choose whether the Test Mode should be activated.

• The REST Credentials have priority. The SOAP credentials will be abandoned gradually. Please start with REST credentials from the beginning if possible.
• Once the REST credentials are filled in, the filled Skip Address Validation will be activated.
• Once the REST credentials are filled in, the information from the field Developer ID, Developer Password, Application ID, and Application Token becomes irrelevant.
